Whew! No Rabies Shots!

Well, the vet faxed the information on the dog and it is current on rabies shots, so none for me-YEA! Also noted on the information card was that the boxer must be muzzled before the vet will see it. Anyway, the hand is healing good and the sore arms from the shots is about gone too.

On Monday, we went up Needles Highway, walked around Sylvan Lake, took the wildlife loop saw Mount Rushmore through the tunnels on Iron Mountain Road and went to Crazy Horse. Later we had a nice fire and played ladder ball. We saw 3 groups of Buffalo, pronghorn deer, mule deer, prairie dogs, and the begging donkeys. Back to work today for two days and then our regular days off. I have to get my teeth cleaned on Thursday and April will also get her fillings done. April's brother leaves on Friday, so I hope we don't have to spend alot of time in Rapid City at the dentist. It worked out good for me to have Sunday and Monday off to allow my hand to heal some. It is still tender, but as long as I don't bump it, it doesn't hurt much at all. Today, it rained hard for about 30 minutes and we got an inch and a half in that time! I had to dig a channel across the road as we were surrounded by water except for the back by the hill. They got 3 inches in just under an hour to the north of Rapid City.

Here is some pictures from the path around Sylvan Lake.

  1. Good news. You will be all healed up by the time you get to my place. Our alpacas don't bite.
