We needed to do laundry and get April's meds, so we headed down the hill today. We did laundry at the C-Store in Hill City (2 miles). The C-Store has gas, snacks, subway, video casino, and laundry there. Kinda weird to tell someone that you are going to the gas station to do your laundry or worse yet, going to the casino to do laundry. The video casinos are everywhere and have the video keno, poker, blackjack, ect. and you have to be 21 to play. After that, we headed further down the hill toward Walmart, but drove past Mount Rushmore. We didn't go into the viewing area, ($10), but took some pictures from the road. Then we finished the trip down and eventually found Walmart. Had to wait about an hour and a half for prescriptions. And we still have to go back after noon tomorrow, or it may be Tuesday before we go again, to get one that they had to call to Dr. before filling. There is alot of things we want to do or visit here. Michelle said (our boss here) she is good at getting discount or free passes to area attractions, because they know we will be telling our guests about them so we will see what she comes up with, but some we are going to do regardless at some point.
It snowed hard a couple of times today, but none sticking on the ground, but some did stay on the top of the dumpsters. Also a little windy mostly when the snow came. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow. Next Thursday and Friday it is forecast to have a high of 33 and 35 with a low of 26. I hope they can open the part of the park that will be our spot.
We are getting somewhat organized, but can't really completely unpack until we get into our spot. The spots are quite close together (10-12 feet apart) so we will not be using our screen house. We got a cable today so we can get TV. We get 11 channels. April is happy.
Still tired from the trip. Went to bed early last night but got up at 230. So still tired, but will stay up later tonight. Tomorrow we have our tour of the resort and finish some paperwork and maybe start some work.
It will take a little while to get used to the new time zone. I don't stay long enough to get used to it. Next week I am in the mountain time zone, the next week I am in the pacific time zone, then back to mountain. Of course I live in the central time zone, but usually fly through Atlanta in the eastern time zone.
